| SMASH BREAKS INTO PRODUCTION SMASH BREAKS INTO PRODUCTION Filming has Wrapped for the Creative Team Behind “A Cinderella Story” Production wrapped on June 17, 2010 for the new teen film Smash, from the writer and producer of the hit teen movie, A Cinderella Story, along with Denver-based Uptown 6. Shooting started on May 24, 2010 and had taken place over various locations in San Diego, CA. The romantic comedy and family film tells the story of the not-your-average teenager, Ally Mash, played by Lindsey Shaw (10 Things I Hate About You, Aliens in America, Ned’s Declassified Survival Guide). A Junior Tennis Champion, ranked #1, Ally’s life consists of countless hours training to go pro, until she unexpectedly suffers an injury that keeps her out of the game. While recovering, Ally discovers the teenage life she never got to have and a relationship she would never have seen coming with Farrell Gambles, played by Chandler Massey (Days of our Lives, One Tree Hill, Army Wives). As the story develops, what Ally thought was the end-turns out to be just the beginning. Directed by Adam Lipsius (Four Degrees), the film also stars Steven Christopher Parker (Juno, Rebound, ER) Susie Abromeit (Sex Drive, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, Sydney White), Lindsey Black (As the Bell Rings), Mark Elias (Justified), Keith Coulouris (The Young and the Restless), Alexandra Paul (Baywatch) and Josh Cooke (I Love You Man). The film reunites screenwriter Leigh Dunlap (A Cinderella Story, Spy Girls), and producer Ilyssa Goodman (A Cinderella Story, Another Cinderella Story).
