QQ. What are the recent projects that you've been working on?
A. Great question, pathetic answer, I am jobless right now. The only project I'm working on is the career of Dustin. I'm in LA right now auditioning and sort of trying to find something that will hopefully move me forward again.
Q. What can you tell us about the premise for Butterfly On A Wheel and about your character?
A. It's a thriller involving a kidnapping and a ransoming. I play Pierce Brosnan's son and I show up in inopportune moments in the story. I add a little bit of humanity to Pierce's character, he's the antagonist. The film is like a thriller involving romantic affairs and such things of that nature.
Q. What made you want to be a part of the film?
A. I am pretty new to all of this stuff so you want to be a part of everything you audition for. I had just gone out on an audition in Vancouver for this. When they offered me the role after I auditioned; you're not going to say no to working with Pierce Brosnan. Same with Maria Bello or Gerard Butler even if it was just for one day. It was fantastic; very wicked!
Q. Was anything about your role challenging?
A. It wasn't really that challenging, that particular role was quite small so it wasn't a whole lot. I basically had to play a young man talking to his dad, which is something I've done a few times!
Q. Where do you draw your experiences from for your portrayals?
A. You have to take one part reality, your own experience, on part imagination, making things up or guesstimation with as much information as possible about how a character would react in a certain situation. For me, as soon as you read about a character, you already start right away figuring what about that character you can do already. It's mainly from a lot of personal experiences, it's all over the place, to be totally honest, you can be inspired by anything.
Q. Do you have a memorable moment from shooting the movie?
A. Just when they yelled action and I had to start talking to 007 himself, it was just fantastic working with Pierce Brosnan, it was a pretty neat experience.
Q. Were you intimidated at all?
A. Not really but you're always a little bit intimidated but he was a really nice guy so that dissipated quickly. You kind of can't help it when you get the opportunity to work with bigger stars. I wasn't shaking too much; I hope.
Q. Why should viewers take the time to check out the movie?
A. Because I'm in it! Again, I think the director has really done something pretty cool with this story. It's going to be one of those exciting, good thrillers. I think that's enough for me to go and see it. Also, because I mentioned earlier, I am in it.
Q. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
A. I'm in Venice right now so I get to skateboard a lot and do a bit of surfing. Trying to write a little bit; just hanging out and getting to know LA.
Q. Do you have a latest obsession? Are you into any particular music group, book, sport or activity?
A. Actually this Canadian actor named Michael Cera, who was on "Arrested Development," and he's now starting up his own YouTube show and I think it'll be coming out in March. He's doing this YouTube show with his partner and CBS is paying for it. He's this young guy, who is the same age as me, I am super impressed with that. He's definitely my current inspiration.
Q. What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?
A. Thanks for all of your support because that is awesome. Check out DustinMilligan.com for weekly/bi-monthly blogs that I'll be doing and keep watching the movies and telling everybody at your school to watch my movies.
